Kyla Martin, DO

Dr. Kyla Martin is a dedicated physician with a diverse background in both medicine and ministry. Born and raised in Tulsa, OK, she met and married her husband, Stephen in 2005. In 2009, they moved to Denver, where Dr. Martin obtained her medical degree at Rocky Vista University.

Through an Army scholarship, she completed her Family Medicine residency at Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX. During her time in the Army, she served as a brigade surgeon and the Inpatient Medicine Director. Her military experience honed her skills in leadership and comprehensive patient care. During this time, she also co-founded Vintage Church, a thriving community that also includes a classical Christian school and a leadership college.

After leaving the Army in 2020, Dr. Martin joined Scott & White as a hospitalist and later became the assistant inpatient medical director. Her passion for integrative medicine, rooted in her strong faith, led her to pursue a second board certification in Lifestyle Medicine. She believes in treating the whole person—spirit, soul, and body—by using the natural resources God provides, such as nutrition, physical activity, and sleep, to prevent and treat chronic diseases.

At Good Steward Health, Dr. Martin emphasizes prevention and wellness by helping patients minimize exposure to harmful chemicals. While she believes most health concerns can be addressed holistically through lifestyle changes, she also recognizes the importance of traditional medicine when needed. Her goal is to treat the root causes of health issues, not just the symptoms, and to guide patients toward achieving optimal health through this balanced approach. She is passionate about sharing the healing power of lifestyle medicine with her patients, inspired by the positive impact it has had on her own family's health.

Dr. Martin, her husband Stephen, and their four children enjoy spending time together, serving their community at Vintage Church, and watching Formula One.
